Thigh liposuction — Just Clinic Istanbul

As of September 2026, the indicative thigh liposuction cost in Turkey on this page is 2,100-2,700 EUR per procedure. The range covers a defined thigh-contouring plan; the zones, technique, anaesthesia, hospital care and any added skin-removal surgery are confirmed after assessment.

Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for thigh liposuction procedures from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.

The final written quote can change with complexity, technique, anaesthesia, hospital arrangements, tests, medication, accommodation, transfers and follow-up. Anything not named in writing should be treated as outside the price.

With your consent, enquiries may be forwarded to independent healthcare providers or authorised medical tourism organisations.

Thigh liposuction is body-contouring surgery that removes localised fat from a defined thigh area through a small cannula. The guide on this page covers one region plan: the inner or outer surface of the thighs, with the exact side, both-leg symmetry and boundaries confirmed during assessment. It is not a weight-loss operation and does not remove cellulite, stretch marks or loose skin.

Liposuction works best when the skin has enough elasticity to contract around the new contour. If loose skin is the main concern, a thigh lift or another operation may be more appropriate. The treating hospital or clinic handles appointments and communication; it arranges practical services only where these are included in the written offer. The named surgeon on the quote is responsible for the clinical assessment and operation. For broader liposuction information, see our liposuction Turkey price guide.

Surgeons may consider this procedure for healthy adults who are close to a stable weight and have a localised fat deposit that has not responded to sustainable diet and exercise. The inner thigh, outer thigh or “saddlebag” area can be assessed separately. The surgeon also looks at skin quality, muscle tone, leg shape, symmetry, previous surgery, medicines and your expectations.

A realistic goal is a smoother, more proportionate contour in one defined region, not a guaranteed thigh gap, clothing size or perfectly identical legs. The operation may be postponed or changed if you are still planning substantial weight loss, have significant excess skin, smoke against medical advice, have a condition that affects healing or may actually have lipoedema rather than a cosmetic fat deposit. The diagnosis and treatment plan require an individual assessment.

  • Inner thigh liposuction: targets a selected fat pocket on the medial thigh. The surgeon must protect a balanced transition towards the knee and groin rather than remove fat indiscriminately.
  • Outer thigh liposuction: targets the lateral thigh or saddlebag area to refine the relationship between the hips, buttocks and upper leg.
  • Front or posterior thigh: these are different areas and are not automatically part of this one-region price.
  • Thigh lift: removes and tightens excess skin when elasticity is insufficient; it leaves different scars and is outside this guide.

Treating inner, outer and front thighs together, adding calves or combining the procedure with a thigh lift changes the scope. Do not assume that “leg liposuction” means every area from hip to knee, and do not treat a lipoedema programme as cosmetic thigh liposuction.

A localised thigh liposuction procedure often takes around 1–3 hours, depending on the area, the amount of fat, symmetry work and the anaesthetic plan. It is commonly performed under general anaesthesia, although the appropriate approach depends on the treatment area and the anaesthetist’s assessment. Ask which areas will be treated and what monitoring is planned.

Many patients stay in hospital overnight after liposuction, but the facility and surgeon decide whether observation is needed. Your written quote should state the hospital, dressings, compression garment, medication, planned checks and discharge criteria. A hotel stay does not replace clinical observation or follow-up.

Arrange your trip around the consultation, operation, wound check and clearance to travel. UK NHS guidance notes that flights and surgery can increase blood-clot risk and advises avoiding flights for 5–7 days after procedures such as liposuction. Your surgeon may require a different interval, so keep return flights flexible. Flights are separate unless expressly included in the written quote.

Plan loose clothing and help with luggage and transfers. Walking is usually reintroduced when the team says it is safe, but sightseeing, long periods on your feet and strenuous activity are not substitutes for rest during early recovery.

  • Share your medical history, medicines, supplements, allergies, previous leg surgery and any planned weight changes during assessment.
  • Send clear photographs if requested, while remembering that they do not replace examination or anaesthetic assessment.
  • Follow instructions about smoking, alcohol, fasting, medicines and supplements. Never stop a prescribed blood thinner without clinical advice.
  • Ask whether the surgeon is treating one inner or outer region, both legs, and how symmetry and skin elasticity will be assessed.
  • Arrange help with luggage and daily tasks for the first day or two, and bring loose clothing that does not rub the treated area.
  • Confirm the garment, wound care, walking, exercise, driving and follow-up instructions before booking travel.

Bruising, swelling, soreness, temporary numbness and fluid leakage from small incisions can occur. An elasticated support garment or compression bandages are often used for several weeks according to the discharge plan. Gentle walking and normal movement are introduced when the team says they are safe, while strenuous activity is restricted during early healing.

Return to work and driving depend on the treated area, your job, the anaesthetic and your recovery. Gentle exercise may resume around 3–4 weeks for some patients, but strenuous activities can need longer. Swelling may obscure the contour for months and the area can take up to 6 months to settle fully. A stable weight helps maintain the result, but no exact contour can be guaranteed.

Possible complications include uneven contours or asymmetry, bleeding, fluid collection, infection, persistent sensation changes, loose or rippled skin, poor wound healing, blood clots and anaesthetic complications. Contact the surgical team promptly about severe pain, heavy bleeding, fever, increasing redness, shortness of breath, calf pain or another unexpected symptom.

These notes answer questions people raise before they accept a written treatment plan. They describe what that plan should make clear. Is the main problem extra fat, extra skin or separated abdominal muscles, and which of those will this operation treat?

ASPS notes that when a large amount of fat is removed, extra skin can need a second operation. J-Plasma, also called Renuvion, aims to tighten skin with heat. It should not be written as a replacement for a tummy tuck or an arm or thigh lift when there is a hanging skin apron or a clear separation of the abdominal muscles. Source: ASPS liposuction safety.

Which areas will liposuction include, and what personal limits will stop or stage it?

ASPS says special planning is needed when more than five litres are usually suctioned. That figure is not a safe ceiling for every person. Blood in the aspirate, the fluid given, the lidocaine dose and the length of the anaesthetic can reduce the scope or split the session. The written plan should name the areas included and the finding that would stop the operation. Source: ASPS liposuction safety.

How are a seroma, a wound opening or skin loss recognised and treated?

ASPS lists fluid collection, poor wound healing and heat injury among liposuction risks. A seroma is a wavy swelling under the incision. A small one may be absorbed. A collection that persists can be aspirated. One that is infected or threatening the skin is drained. A wound that opens, or skin that turns black, is a sign of tension, smoking, infection or a circulation problem. It is not a mark to close at home with a dressing. Drains, compression and the review date should be written down. Fever, a bad smell, an open wound and rapidly growing swelling should be reported without delay. Source: ASPS liposuction safety.

After I go home, who follows a wound problem or a suspected clot, and who pays for extra treatment?

The NHS asks people having cosmetic surgery abroad to settle in advance where reviews happen and what further surgery and a return journey cost. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. The NHS uses 5–7 days after liposuction or breast surgery, and 7–10 days after a tummy tuck, as planning windows before flying. A painful swollen calf with breathlessness or chest pain is an emergency-department symptom. This page does not say that any partner pays those items. Source: NHS advice on cosmetic surgery abroad.

How long will I need to wear a compression garment after thigh liposuction?

A compression garment is commonly worn for several weeks after thigh liposuction, following the treating team’s discharge plan. The exact schedule depends on the areas treated and your healing, so confirm how long each day to wear it, when it can be removed for washing and whether the surgeon wants to review its fit. ASPS recovery commentary notes that garment schedules and recovery differ between patients. If both thighs were treated, ask whether both need garment coverage.

Why do I have firm areas after thigh liposuction — could it be fibrosis?

Firmness, bruising and swelling can occur in the early weeks after liposuction, but a firm area cannot be identified as fibrosis from a description or photograph alone. Healing changes, fluid or a contour irregularity are among the possibilities a clinician may need to assess. Contact the surgical team if it is worsening, unusually painful, red or warm, or is not following the recovery pattern they gave you; fever or rapidly increasing swelling also needs prompt review. Do not massage a new or concerning area unless your surgeon has told you to. ASPS liposuction recovery guidance describes firmness and advises contacting the surgeon when unsure.

Do I need lymphatic drainage massage after thigh liposuction?

There is no universal massage schedule after thigh liposuction. Some plastic surgeons use lymphatic drainage massage in their recovery protocol, while others give different instructions; the extent of surgery and your healing matter. Ask the surgeon who will follow your recovery whether massage is recommended, when it may begin, who should perform it and which areas to avoid. Do not book forceful or unsupervised massage on the assumption that it is essential. ASPS recovery commentary notes that surgeons’ instructions differ and describes massage as one approach used by some practices.

Can fat come back after thigh liposuction if I gain weight?

Yes. Liposuction removes fat cells from treated areas, but it does not prevent future weight gain. Remaining fat cells can enlarge, and substantial weight gain can change the treated contour as well as other areas; the amount and distribution vary. ASPS explains fat return after liposuction: removed cells do not return, but remaining cells can enlarge as weight changes. Discuss major planned weight change with the surgeon before setting expectations.

Frequently asked questions about cost

How much does thigh liposuction cost in Turkey in 2026? +

The guide range on this page is 2,100–2,700 EUR per procedure as of September 2026. It covers one defined inner or outer thigh region plan; the written quote confirms the exact areas and inclusions.

Does the price cover both thighs? +

The plan is for one inner or outer thigh region, with both-leg symmetry and boundaries confirmed by the surgeon. It does not automatically cover inner, outer and front thighs together or every area from hip to knee.

Can thigh liposuction remove cellulite or loose skin? +

No. Liposuction removes selected fat and does not treat cellulite or reliably tighten significant loose skin. If skin laxity is the main concern, the surgeon may discuss a thigh lift or another plan.

Am I suitable for inner or outer thigh liposuction? +

Suitability depends on your health, stable weight, skin elasticity, fat distribution, leg shape, medicines and goals. The surgeon must also distinguish a cosmetic fat deposit from conditions such as lipoedema.

How long should I stay in Turkey after thigh liposuction? +

Allow time for assessment, surgery, observation and a wound check. UK NHS guidance advises avoiding flights for 5–7 days after procedures such as liposuction, but your surgeon decides when you are fit to travel.

How long does thigh liposuction recovery take? +

Most people need early rest, compression and restricted strenuous activity. Gentle exercise may be possible around 3–4 weeks for some patients, while swelling and the final contour can continue settling for up to 6 months.

Are flights and hotel included in the thigh liposuction price? +

Usually not unless expressly listed. Check the written quote for hospital observation, hotel nights, transfers, garment, medication, tests, follow-up and any companion costs.
