Neck lift — Just Clinic Istanbul

As of September 2026, the indicative neck lift cost in Turkey on this page is 4,500-7,500 EUR per operation. The range covers a surgical neck-lift plan with skin and, where clinically appropriate, platysma or deeper-tissue work; a full facelift, implant or added treatment is not assumed.

Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for neck lift procedures from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.

The final written quote can change with complexity, technique, anaesthesia, hospital arrangements, tests, medication, accommodation, transfers and follow-up. Anything not named in writing should be treated as outside the price.

With your consent, enquiries may be forwarded to independent healthcare providers or authorised medical tourism organisations.

Use the country table as editorial orientation only. Ranges can cover different scopes from one country to another; compare the same procedure, inclusions and follow-up in writing before treating any figure as meaningful.

Neck lift surgery improves loose skin, vertical neck bands and selected soft-tissue fullness below the jawline. Depending on the anatomy, the surgeon may tighten the platysma muscle, adjust deeper tissue or remove excess skin. The defined plan on this page is surgical neck lifting; it is not a full face-and-neck combination.

A neck lift can improve a sagging outline but cannot stop ageing, guarantee a sharp jawline or replace treatment for a medical lump or thyroid problem. The treating hospital or clinic handles appointments and communication and arranges practical services only where listed in the written offer; the named surgeon is responsible for the clinical assessment and operation.

Surgeons may consider a neck lift for adults with loose neck skin, visible bands or a poorly defined neck contour who are generally healthy and have realistic expectations. The consultation should cover your weight changes, skin quality, medicines, smoking status, previous facial surgery, jaw structure and any neck symptoms.

Weight stability is helpful because major later weight change can affect the result. A prominent fullness caused by a medical condition, an enlarged node, thyroid issue or another new lump needs clinical assessment before cosmetic surgery. Surgery may be postponed if a condition affects healing or anaesthesia, the skin is not suitable or expectations are unrealistic.

  • Skin tightening: excess skin may be repositioned and trimmed through incisions placed around the ears or under the chin, depending on the plan.
  • Platysma treatment: separated or prominent platysma edges may be tightened when this is responsible for banding or laxity.
  • Deeper contouring: selected tissue or fat may be addressed when appropriate, but this is not automatically included as a separate liposuction procedure.
  • Jawline planning: the surgeon considers the chin, jaw, skin elasticity and facial proportions rather than promising an isolated “tight neck”.

The incision pattern and depth are anatomical decisions. A full face-and-neck lift, chin implant, thread lift and RF-only treatment are outside this guide. Ask what is included and whether any facial or chin procedure is separately recommended.

Surgical neck lift often takes around 2–4 hours, although the duration changes with skin excess, platysma work, deeper contouring and any separately agreed procedure. It is commonly performed under general anaesthesia, with the anaesthetist assessing what is safe for you.

Patients may need observation or an overnight stay depending on the operation, drains, anaesthetic and facility. The written quote should identify the surgeon, anaesthesia, theatre and hospital fees, incision and tissue plan, tests, dressings, compression, medication, possible drains, planned checks and discharge criteria.

Arrange your trip around assessment, surgery, observation, a neck or wound check and clearance to travel. UK NHS guidance advises avoiding flights for 5–7 days after procedures such as liposuction; a neck lift is a different operation, so your surgeon must set the safe interval and you should keep return flights flexible.

Bring loose front-opening clothing and arrange help with luggage. Keep your head elevated as instructed and do not plan heavy lifting, strenuous exercise, swimming, sun exposure or a tightly scheduled sightseeing programme during early recovery. Flights and extra accommodation are separate unless expressly included.

  • Share your medical history, weight changes, medicines, supplements, allergies, previous facial or neck surgery, smoking status and any problems with anaesthesia or healing.
  • Report a new lump, persistent pain, swallowing or breathing symptom, skin change or rapidly changing swelling for medical assessment before cosmetic surgery.
  • Send clear photographs if requested, while remembering that they do not replace examination of the skin, jawline and neck structures.
  • Follow instructions about smoking, alcohol, fasting, medicines and supplements. Never stop a prescribed blood thinner without clinical advice.
  • Arrange help with luggage and daily tasks and bring loose front-opening clothing that will not rub the incisions.
  • Confirm compression, drain care, sleeping position, driving, exercise, sun protection, wound checks and travel instructions before booking.

Swelling, bruising, tightness, soreness, temporary numbness and a pulling sensation can occur. A dressing or compression garment may be used, and drains may be placed. Keep the head elevated as instructed, protect the incisions from sun and pressure and avoid strenuous activity until cleared.

Neck contour and scar appearance change as swelling settles. Scars are permanent but may fade and soften over time. Weight change, ageing and skin quality can affect the result, and a neck lift cannot guarantee that bands or laxity will never recur.

Possible complications include bleeding or haematoma, infection, seroma, delayed healing, asymmetry, contour irregularity, altered sensation, hairline or ear changes, visible scars, nerve injury, blood clots and anaesthetic complications. Contact the surgical team promptly about severe pain, heavy bleeding, fever, increasing redness, new weakness, breathing difficulty, shortness of breath or another unexpected symptom.

How are bleeding, haematoma and nerve injury managed in a face, neck, brow or temple lift?

ASPS lists bleeding and facial-nerve weakness among facelift risks. No single tissue layer is better for everyone. A skin, SMAS or deep-plane operation is a different operation, and the nerve is at risk in a different place in each. The written plan should say which layer will be worked in. Haematoma is the facelift complication that most often means a return to theatre. A 2001–2013 meta-analysis found expanding haematoma in about 1.8% of cases, and the TOPS database in about 1.97%. About 90% of haematomas appear in the first 24 hours. A small collection can distort the contour. A large one can threaten the skin flap and, rarely, the airway. The treatment of a significant collection is to find the bleeding point and evacuate it. Opening stitches to relieve pressure has been described as a temporary step if evacuation is delayed. Uncontrolled blood pressure is a main risk. Cutting the facial nerve is rare. Weakness that continues after the anaesthetic wears off can come from a stitch, tension or cautery heat and may settle over days or weeks. Weakness that does not settle should be reviewed by the team that operated. Sources: ASPS facelift safety, ASJ Open Forum review of early facelift complications.

If vision changes, the eye will not close, the face becomes weak, or a haematoma develops after I go home, what happens and who pays?

The symptoms that need review without delay depend on the operation. After a face, neck, brow or temple lift: rapidly growing swelling on one side, pain, breathlessness or new facial weakness. After eyelid surgery: a lid that will not close, severe pain, an eye being pushed forward, or reduced vision. After facial fat injection: sudden loss of vision. ASPS lists blindness among eyelid-surgery risks, while describing it as very rare. A significant haematoma is treated by evacuation, as described above. Fat in a vessel needs emergency eye assessment. The NHS asks people to settle in writing, before cosmetic surgery abroad, where reviews happen, what further surgery and a return journey cost, and whether the clinic’s insurance covers the patient. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. Follow-up after an operation in the UK is the surgeon’s responsibility. A clinic abroad may not offer the same follow-up or a doctor in your own country. The NHS uses 7–10 days after facial cosmetic surgery as a planning window before flying, because of clot risk. Your own surgeon gives the personal clearance. This page does not say that any partner pays for admission, revision or the return flight. Can a neck lift improve a double chin?

A neck lift may improve under-chin fullness when it comes from excess fat, loose skin or neck muscle banding, but the right plan depends on the cause. The surgeon may address different tissues in the neck; a neck lift cannot guarantee a sharply defined jawline, and fullness caused by another anatomical or medical issue needs separate assessment. The ASPS neck lift guidance includes excess fat under the chin among the concerns a neck lift can treat. Ask the surgeon to explain which tissue your written plan addresses and whether any separate chin or facial procedure is proposed.

Frequently asked questions about cost

How much does a neck lift cost in Turkey in 2026? +

The editorial guide range on this page is 4,500–7,500 EUR for surgical neck lift as of September 2026. The skin, platysma and deeper-tissue plan affects the final written quote.

Does a neck lift include a facelift? +

No full face-and-neck combination is included in this defined guide. If facial lifting or a chin procedure is recommended, it should be assessed and itemised separately.

Can a neck lift remove all neck bands and loose skin? +

A neck lift can improve selected laxity and banding, but the result depends on skin, platysma, jaw structure and healing. Perfect tightness or permanent prevention of ageing cannot be guaranteed.

Am I suitable for a neck lift in Turkey? +

Suitability depends on your skin and neck anatomy, health, stable weight, medicines, smoking status and expectations. A new neck symptom or lump needs medical assessment first.

How long should I stay in Turkey after a neck lift? +

Allow time for assessment, surgery, observation, a neck or wound check and travel clearance. Your surgeon sets the safe interval for flying and you should keep plans flexible.

What is recovery like after neck lift surgery? +

Swelling, bruising and tightness are possible, with compression, head elevation and activity restrictions often advised. Work, driving, exercise and swimming should resume only when cleared.

Are flights and hotel included in the neck lift price? +

Only if expressly listed. Check the written quote for hospital care, tests, dressings, compression, drains, medication, hotel nights, transfers, follow-up and companion costs.
