Dental implant — Just Clinic Istanbul

As of September 2026, the indicative dental implant cost in Turkey on this page is 650-1,100 EUR per implant for the implant body and abutment only. A crown, grafting, extraction, imaging and other stages are not assumed unless they appear in the written dental plan.

Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for dental implant procedures from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.

The final written quote can change with complexity, technique, anaesthesia, hospital arrangements, tests, medication and follow-up. Anything not named in writing should be treated as outside the price.

A dental implant is a small artificial tooth root placed into the jawbone to support a future restoration. A typical single-implant plan has a surgical phase, in which the implant body is placed, and a restorative phase, in which an abutment connects the implant to a crown. The implant can also support a bridge or denture in a different plan.

This page is specifically about one implant body and abutment. It is not the complete price of a replacement tooth because the final crown is outside the guide scope. The treating hospital or clinic handles appointments and communication. The dentist is responsible for examining your mouth, confirming the treatment plan and providing clinical care.

A dental team may consider an implant for an adult with a missing or non-restorable tooth when the gums, remaining teeth, jawbone and general health can support the plan. Good oral hygiene and a stable mouth are important. The dentist must also consider your bite, tooth grinding, medicines, smoking and whether the missing tooth needs extraction first.

An implant may be postponed or unsuitable if there is active decay, untreated gum disease, inadequate bone, uncontrolled health problems or an expectation that the implant will require no maintenance. If there is not enough bone, a graft or another procedure may be discussed; that is not included automatically in this price. Alternatives can include a bridge, a removable denture or no treatment, depending on the clinical situation.

After an examination and appropriate dental imaging, the dentist plans the position of the implant in relation to the bone, gum, neighbouring teeth and intended crown. The gum is opened, a prepared channel is made in the jawbone and the implant body is placed. The gum may be closed over the implant or a healing component may be left accessible, depending on whether a one-stage or two-stage approach is appropriate.

  • Implant body: the screw-shaped component placed in the jawbone to act as an artificial root.
  • Abutment: the connecting component that links the integrated implant to the planned restoration.
  • Final crown: the visible tooth-shaped restoration. It is a separate restorative item and is not included in this guide range unless the written quote expressly says so.

The implant is normally left to integrate with the bone before the final restoration is made. One-stage and two-stage plans involve different appointments. Do not assume that an implant body, abutment and finished crown are all placed during one visit or covered by one headline price.

A straightforward single implant placement may take around half an hour, but the actual time depends on the tooth site, bone, gum, surgical method and any additional treatment. Implant placement is usually carried out under local anaesthetic. Sedation or, in selected circumstances, general anaesthetic may be discussed if the dentist considers it appropriate.

The surgical appointment may be a day-case visit without an overnight hospital stay. The implant then needs time to heal and integrate with the jawbone, often around three to six months or longer when additional surgery is required. The abutment and crown are fitted during later restorative appointments. Treatment from assessment to finished tooth can therefore take many months and may require more than one visit or trip.

Ask for a written schedule before booking travel. It should show which appointments happen in Istanbul, whether an extraction or graft is needed, when the implant will be reviewed, how the abutment is connected and where the final crown will be made. A short visit may cover the surgical stage but not the whole implant-and-crown process.

Arrange a local dentist or suitable follow-up route for ongoing maintenance after you return home. Private investigations and treatment of complications are separate unless expressly included. Your dentist should confirm when you can travel, eat normally and resume each activity after surgery.

Dental implant plans differ, so request a clear written breakdown. Depending on your assessment, it may identify:

  • the tooth site, implant system and whether the plan is one-stage or two-stage;
  • the implant body and abutment included in this guide scope;
  • the crown material, laboratory work and fitting, if included as a separate item;
  • the examination, imaging, local anaesthetic or sedation and surgical fees;
  • any extraction, gum treatment, graft, membrane or sinus procedure; and
  • the expected integration period, review visits and long-term follow-up route.

  • Tell the dentist about your medical history, allergies, medicines, previous dental surgery, smoking, tooth grinding and any current pain, swelling or gum bleeding.
  • Complete the recommended examination and imaging so the team can assess bone, gum health, nerve position and the intended restoration.
  • Ask whether an extraction, gum treatment or bone-grafting stage is needed before the implant and how it changes the schedule and price.
  • Follow instructions about eating, mouth care, alcohol, smoking, medicines and supplements. Never stop a prescribed medicine without clinical advice.
  • Plan soft, easy-to-manage food and help with travel or daily tasks if you are having sedation or feel uncomfortable after surgery.
  • Confirm how to clean the area, which symptoms are expected, when the first review takes place and whom to contact after returning home.

Mild bleeding, discomfort, swelling and bruising can occur during the first days after implant placement. Follow the dentist's instructions for pressure, mouth rinsing, cleaning, medication and eating. Avoid disturbing the surgical site or putting pressure on an implant that the dentist has asked you to protect. A review may be arranged about a week after surgery to check healing and, if needed, the stitches.

The implant must integrate with the jawbone before it is used for the final restoration. This often takes three to six months but can be longer after grafting or other surgery. Once the abutment and crown are fitted, careful brushing, interdental cleaning and regular dental or hygienist reviews are essential. Gum inflammation around an implant can lead to bone loss and implant failure, while the crown or other restoration may wear and need repair or replacement over time.

Contact the dental team promptly for uncontrolled bleeding, worsening pain or swelling, fever, pus, persistent numbness, a loose implant component or another unexpected symptom. Keep the follow-up plan active in your home country as well as in Istanbul. No clinic can guarantee that an implant will integrate, that a crown will last forever or that additional treatment will not be needed.

Which tooth needs treatment, will a sound tooth be cut down, and is there a more conservative option?

An extraction should not become part of an All-on plan until it is written that the tooth cannot be restored because of a crack, the remaining tooth structure, or the periodontal support. A sound tooth is not automatically reduced to even a smile line. Source: AAE on saving a natural tooth.

How will decay and gum health be assessed before a crown, implant or smile plan?

Active periodontal disease means pocket depth, bleeding and bone support are recorded before veneer or crown preparation starts. Untreated gum disease is also among the reasons a dental implant can fail. Source: FDA dental implants.

How was the bone or sinus checked for an implant, All-on-4, All-on-6 or sinus lift, and why is a CBCT needed?

ADA and AAOMR guidance starts with the clinical examination, then imaging. A CBCT is used when a two-dimensional film cannot show the bone height and width, the nerve canal or the sinus floor that the plan needs. It is not a routine scan for everyone. The benefit of the radiation has to outweigh the risk. Source: ADA radiographs and CBCT.

Will I be given the implant brand, model and a record I can keep?

The FDA asks patients to ask which brand and model will be used and to keep that record. The implant body, the abutment and the screw are separate parts. The record lets a later dentist identify the device if it loosens or hurts. An example brand name is not the card for the device that will be placed in you. Source: FDA dental implants.

How will a new crown or prosthesis affect my bite and chewing force?

The FDA lists a bite that does not feel normal, and an abutment screw that loosens so the tooth seems to twist, among implant risks. Contact with the opposing teeth should be checked before a new crown or bridge is cemented. If you clench or grind, a night guard should be written separately. Source: FDA dental implants.

If I develop an infection, lose an implant or break a prosthesis after I go home, who follows that and who pays?

The FDA asks you to tell the dentist without delay if an implant is loose or painful. The NHS asks people treated abroad to get the cost of further treatment and a return journey in writing beforehand. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. A manufacturer’s record does not pay for a second flight or a new prosthesis. Sources: FDA dental implants, NHS advice on cosmetic surgery abroad.

What happens if a dental implant does not bond with the bone?

If an implant does not bond securely with the jawbone, the dentist needs to assess the implant and the surrounding site; it may need to be removed. Replacement is sometimes considered after a healing period, but whether it is possible depends on why the first implant failed and on a fresh clinical assessment. Other ways of replacing the tooth may also need discussion. There is no single timetable that applies to every case. Ask the treating dentist to explain the findings, next steps and follow-up plan. Frequently asked questions about cost

How much does one dental implant cost in Turkey in 2026? +

As of September 2026, the guide range on this page is 650–1,100 EUR per implant for the implant body and abutment. The final crown and any additional procedures are separate unless listed in the written quote.

Does the dental implant price include the crown? +

No crown should be assumed in this guide range. The price-file scope covers one implant body and abutment; the final crown, laboratory work and fitting should be shown as separate items if included.

What is included in one dental implant? +

This page covers one implant body placed in the jawbone and its abutment. It does not automatically include extraction, grafting, sinus lifting, a crown, a bridge, a denture or full-arch treatment.

Am I suitable for a dental implant in Turkey? +

Suitability depends on your gums, bone, remaining teeth, oral hygiene, medical history, smoking, bite and restoration plan. Active decay or gum disease and insufficient bone may need treatment before an implant is considered.

How long does dental implant treatment take? +

The surgical placement may be a day-case visit, but the implant often needs about three to six months or longer to integrate before the abutment and crown are completed. The full schedule depends on your plan and may require several visits.

Are bone grafting and sinus lifting included? +

No. Extraction, bone grafting, membrane treatment and sinus lifting are outside this guide scope and should be assessed and itemised separately if required.
