What an All-on 4 dental implants package is

All-on-4 places four implants in one jaw so a fixed bridge can sit on them later. This stay is the four fixtures as named on the paper — without a crown, without a titanium bar, and without a finished full-arch smile in this figure. It is not ten veneers, not a Hollywood smile, not All-on-6, and not a removable denture. Brand, diameter and whether a temporary denture is even fitted belong on the written quote. Osseointegration takes months; the teeth you leave with, if any, are not the final set unless that paper says so.

The treating provider’s written plan should identify who places the implants and who fits the crowns, bar or hybrid teeth, as applicable.

Who this package is for

Dentists usually consider adults who have lost most teeth in one jaw, or whose remaining teeth cannot be saved, who have enough bone for four implants after a scan, and who accept that the final teeth come on a later visit unless the contract names a temporary bridge. Soft bone, untreated gum disease or a heavy grind often changes the map. If you already have a healthy arch that only needs veneers, this is the wrong sitting.

The date is often postponed if a large infection is active, if a medical condition makes surgery less safe, or if the scan shows a graft is needed first. Send daylight photographs of your smile at rest and while speaking, plus any recent panoramic or CBCT if you have one. Suitability is confirmed in Istanbul before anyone drills. A second jaw, All-on-6, or a crown set in the same week is not assumed.

What sits outside the quote

Crowns, a titanium-bar hybrid, a temporary or final bridge, bone graft or sinus lift, extraction fees not named, All-on-6, the other jaw, and a later trip for definitive teeth are outside this figure unless written in the plan. Loading four implants with a finished smile to chase a photograph is refused if the bone plan does not allow it; that is a clinical limit, not an upsell.

Theatre, anaesthetic and nights in Istanbul

Plan several days in the city — typically four to six — for the in-person assessment, scan, implant-placement sitting and first review. The dentist may request an additional review if swelling or a stitch check needs attention. Bone healing then runs for months at home; if definitive teeth are in the plan, they usually require a later visit.

The sitting is in the dental chair under local anaesthetic; any sedation must be assessed and specified in the written clinical plan. This is outpatient dental care; the written plan should state if hospital observation is clinically required. The treating dentist confirms when travel is appropriate. Recovery after you fly home

The first days are swelling, a soft diet and careful cleaning as shown. No gym that raises blood pressure in the head, no smoking if you were asked to stop, no hard nuts or opening packets with the new fixtures. Desk work is often possible after a day or two if the dentist agrees. The look at the hotel, with or without a temporary, is not the final arch. Full chewing waits for the written healing plan, often months, not the flight home.

Red flags after you return — spreading swelling, pus, a temperature that persists, an implant that feels loose, or pain that is getting worse — mean a local dentist or A&E first, then your coordinator. Take the discharge note with you.

Which tooth needs treatment, will a sound tooth be cut down, and is there a more conservative option?

How will decay and gum health be assessed before a crown, implant or smile plan?

How was the bone or sinus checked for an implant, All-on-4, All-on-6 or sinus lift, and why is a CBCT needed?

ADA and AAOMR guidance starts with the clinical examination, then imaging. A CBCT is used when a two-dimensional film cannot show the bone height and width, the nerve canal or the sinus floor that the plan needs. It is not a routine scan for everyone. Will I be given the implant brand, model and a record I can keep?

The FDA asks patients to ask which brand and model will be used and to keep that record. The implant body, the abutment and the screw are separate parts. How will a new crown or prosthesis affect my bite and chewing force?

The FDA lists a bite that does not feel normal, and an abutment screw that loosens so the tooth seems to twist, among implant risks. If I develop an infection, lose an implant or break a prosthesis after I go home, who follows that and who pays?

The FDA asks you to tell the dentist without delay if an implant is loose or painful. The NHS asks people treated abroad to get the cost of further treatment and a return journey in writing beforehand. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. Can I remove my All-on-4 bridge to clean it?

Only if the planned prosthesis is removable. A fixed implant bridge stays in place for daily cleaning; cleaning underneath it can be more challenging than cleaning a removable implant denture, which is taken out to reach the attachments. The temporary and final designs may differ, so ask the dental team which type is planned for each stage, to demonstrate how to clean around it and to explain professional maintenance. Will I leave surgery with temporary teeth after All-on-4?

A temporary denture or bridge may be fitted while the implants heal, but same-day fitting is not guaranteed. Immediate loading is a clinical decision; ITI guidance says the dentist should confirm primary stability for each implant before loading a fixed full-arch prosthesis.
