Thigh lift cost in Turkey
As of September 2026, the indicative thigh lift cost in Turkey on this page is 2,800-4,800 EUR per operation. The range covers mini, vertical and selected VASER-assisted plans; the incision, skin excess, contouring, anaesthesia, hospital care and inclusions are confirmed after assessment.
Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for thigh lift procedures from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.
The final written quote can change with complexity, technique, anaesthesia, hospital arrangements, tests, medication, accommodation, transfers and follow-up. Anything not named in writing should be treated as outside the price.
With your consent, enquiries may be forwarded to independent healthcare providers or authorised medical tourism organisations.
Thigh lift cost compared by country
Use the country table as editorial orientation only. Ranges can cover different scopes from one country to another; compare the same procedure, inclusions and follow-up in writing before treating any figure as meaningful.
A thigh lift — thighplasty in medical language — removes loose inner-thigh skin that diet and exercise will not take away. The extra fold is usually left after a large weight loss or bariatric surgery. Liposuction on its own does not tighten that skin. The scar of a vertical lift remains; it fades over months, but it does not disappear.
Where included in the written offer, the treating hospital or clinic arranges accommodation and transfers for the Istanbul stay. The surgeon named on your written quote is the person who operates. To find out how other patients experienced a thigh lift in Turkey — the first days, the garment and the weeks after flying home — you can read our blog article on thighplasty recovery.
Who is a thigh lift for?
Surgeons usually consider people who are close to a stable, healthy weight and still have hanging skin on the inner thigh. Typical situations include after major weight loss or bariatric surgery. A cosmetic procedure of this kind is not routinely NHS-funded.
The operation is often postponed if you still plan to lose a large amount of weight, if weight has not been stable for months, if you cannot accept an inner-thigh scar, or if smoking or a long-term condition makes healing less safe. None of this is a promise that you are suitable. That decision is made after photographs, your history and a personal medical assessment.
What the operation aims to do
The realistic aim is a firmer inner-thigh contour so the skin no longer chafes or hangs. A mini keeps the scar in the groin crease; a vertical run goes towards the knee. The result is not the same on every thigh, and no clinic can guarantee a particular look. Weight you put back on later will change the shape you see after the initial recovery.
Techniques used
The surgeon chooses the incision from how much skin there is, not from a package name. A mini in the groin is not the same operation as a vertical run to the knee.
Mini: the upper third; scar in the groin crease. Guide band 2,800–3,200 EUR.
Vertical: the scar runs from the groin towards the knee. Guide band 3,200–4,200 EUR.
With VASER: ultrasound-assisted liposuction in the same sitting when there is fat as well as loose skin. Guide band 3,800–4,800 EUR.
A post-bariatric case is quoted by technique, not by why the weight was lost. With a large excess the plan usually sits in the mid-to-upper band. Fat without cutting skin is a different quote — see liposuction. If the arms are treated in the same admission, that part has its own breakdown on the arm lift page; do not add both as an automatic bundle.
How long the operation takes
Theatre time is usually 2 to 3 hours. A mini can be shorter. A vertical lift, or a plan that adds VASER, can take longer. Combined operations add time. The written plan is the one that counts.
Anaesthetic
A thigh lift is done under general anaesthetic. You are asleep for the whole operation. If a different plan is safer given your medical history, the anaesthetic team explains that before the day.
Hospital stay
You usually stay 1 or 2 nights in hospital. That is not the same as the total time in Istanbul. A compression garment is fitted before you leave the ward.
How long to stay in Istanbul
Plan 7 to 10 nights in the city. That window covers the consultation, the operation, the hospital nights, walking in the garment and clearance to fly. Adverts of 4 or 7 nights rarely leave the same medical margin. The hospital stay sits inside those nights; it does not replace them. Discharge is signed by the surgeon — it is not an advertising date.
What to do — and not do — before surgery
What to do
Send photographs and a clear history — weight change, bariatric surgery, previous thigh surgery — so you have a written quote before you book flights.
Stay as close as you can to a stable weight for months. Large changes after the operation alter the result.
Arrange someone to help you in the first days. Walking, stairs and sitting will be limited.
Follow the hospital’s fasting instructions on the day. That list comes from the ward, not from a blog.
What not to do
Do not stop or start medicines — including blood-thinners, anti-inflammatories or supplements — on your own. The surgeon and anaesthetic team tell you what to change and when.
Do not smoke if the team has asked you to stop. Smoking reduces blood flow in the skin and raises the risk of poor healing. How long to stop is their instruction.
Do not book a short city break. Four or seven nights is not the protocol here.
Do not treat the operation as a substitute for weight loss, or expect the scar to disappear.
Recovery
Two timelines matter, and they are not the same.
Daily life and desk work. Walking and stairs are limited at first. You wear a compression garment for several weeks. Light, desk-based work is often possible at about two weeks. Swelling and tightness are expected. A vertical incision needs more rest than a mini.
Full recovery and sport. Heavy lifting, gym work and long walks wait longer. Most people wait about six weeks before harder exercise; some need longer before the team clears unrestricted training. The scar keeps settling for months; the contour you see after the initial recovery is not the final one.
Your own pace depends on the incision, your job and how you heal. Follow the written aftercare, not a generic calendar.

Questions from you
These notes answer questions people raise before they accept a written treatment plan. They describe what that plan should make clear. They are not a promise that any partner hospital uses a particular technique, device or payment arrangement. With your consent, an enquiry may be shared with an authorised healthcare partner.
Is the main problem extra fat, extra skin or separated abdominal muscles, and which of those will this operation treat?
ASPS notes that when a large amount of fat is removed, extra skin can need a second operation. J-Plasma, also called Renuvion, aims to tighten skin with heat. It should not be written as a replacement for a tummy tuck or an arm or thigh lift when there is a hanging skin apron or a clear separation of the abdominal muscles. Source: ASPS liposuction safety.
How are a seroma, a wound opening or skin loss recognised and treated?
ASPS lists fluid collection, poor wound healing and heat injury among liposuction risks. A seroma is a wavy swelling under the incision. A small one may be absorbed. A collection that persists can be aspirated. One that is infected or threatening the skin is drained. A wound that opens, or skin that turns black, is a sign of tension, smoking, infection or a circulation problem. It is not a mark to close at home with a dressing. Drains, compression and the review date should be written down. Fever, a bad smell, an open wound and rapidly growing swelling should be reported without delay. Source: ASPS liposuction safety.
After I go home, who follows a wound problem or a suspected clot, and who pays for extra treatment?
The NHS asks people having cosmetic surgery abroad to settle in advance where reviews happen and what further surgery and a return journey cost. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. The NHS uses 5–7 days after liposuction or breast surgery, and 7–10 days after a tummy tuck, as planning windows before flying. A painful swollen calf with breathlessness or chest pain is an emergency-department symptom. This page does not say that any partner pays those items. Source: NHS advice on cosmetic surgery abroad.
How much does a thigh lift cost in Turkey in 2026?
+
As of September 2026 the thigh lift Turkey price on this page is 2,800–4,800 EUR. Mini, vertical and with VASER sit in that band. The written quote is what you pay.
When can I fly after a thigh lift?
+
When the surgeon discharges you, usually inside the 7 to 10 nights in Istanbul. Adverts of 4 to 7 nights do not cover the same medical margin.
Are flights included in the package?
+
Flights are usually extra. Check the written quote. Book flexible dates in case discharge is delayed.
Will the scar disappear?
+
No. A mini keeps the mark in the groin crease. A vertical run goes towards the knee. It fades over months. It does not disappear.
Does the price change after bariatric surgery?
+
It is priced by technique, not by why the weight was lost. With more skin, the plan usually sits in the mid-to-upper band. There is no separate post-bypass tariff. The surgeon will ask for months of stable weight.
How does a thigh lift in Turkey compare with a UK private quote?
+
UK private care is usually surgery alone: mini 4,500–5,500 EUR equivalent, vertical 5,500–7,500 EUR, with liposuction 6,000–9,000 EUR, quoted in pounds, without hotel. Compare the clinical scope, facility, hospital care and aftercare against the written quote. Savings are not guaranteed.
