What is All-on-4 dental treatment?
All-on-4 uses four dental implants in one jaw to support a full-arch prosthesis for a patient with many missing or non-restorable teeth. The implants are placed in the jawbone and a temporary denture or bridge may be fitted while the implants heal. The defined plan on this page is one jaw and the temporary-prosthesis stage.
This is not a completed permanent-teeth package. The definitive bridge or denture is a later restorative stage and must be quoted separately. Just Clinic Istanbul coordinates appointments, communication and the practical side of your dental stay around the written plan; the implant dentist and restorative team are responsible for assessment and treatment.
Who might consider All-on-4?
Patients with extensive tooth loss or teeth that cannot be predictably restored may be assessed for a fixed full-arch solution. Suitability depends on bone volume and quality, gum health, general health, smoking, diabetes control, oral hygiene, bite forces, medications, previous dental treatment and your ability to attend the restorative stages.
Implants are not suitable for everyone, and a removable denture, conventional bridge or another implant design may be more appropriate. Active gum disease, uncontrolled medical conditions, heavy smoking, severe grinding or inadequate bone may require treatment or a different plan first. A dental examination and imaging are essential before promising four implants.
How is the All-on-4 plan designed?
Assessment and imaging: the dental team examines the teeth, gums, bite and bone and uses appropriate imaging to plan implant positions.
Extractions if needed: non-restorable teeth may need removal, but additional extractions are outside this defined price unless expressly included.
Four implants: the plan places four implants in the specified jaw, subject to anatomy and the clinician's decision.
Temporary prosthesis: a provisional full-arch denture or bridge may be fitted so that function and appearance can be reviewed while healing continues.
The definitive prosthesis requires further planning, impressions or scans, fit checks and material selection. Brand examples such as Hiossen or Astra do not mean that every provider supplies the same components. Bone grafting, sinus lifting, a second jaw and additional procedures are outside this guide.
Appointments, anaesthetic and treatment time
Implant placement and a temporary prosthesis may take several hours, depending on extractions, imaging, the jaw, bone and laboratory workflow. Local anaesthesia is commonly used, with sedation or another approach considered when appropriate. The dentist must confirm whether a same-day temporary restoration is safe and achievable.
All-on-4 treatment usually involves more than one appointment or visit, particularly when the definitive restoration is made after implant healing. The written quote should identify the jaw, four implant brand and components, extractions, temporary prosthesis, imaging, anaesthesia, laboratory work, medication, reviews and the plan for the permanent restoration.
Planning your stay in Istanbul
Arrange your visit around consultation and imaging, surgery, temporary-prosthesis fitting, bite review and clearance to travel. Some patients need a second visit for the definitive restoration after healing. Your dental team must confirm the number and timing of visits; keep flights and accommodation flexible.
Bring dental records and medication details, arrange soft foods and help with luggage and do not plan long sightseeing days, smoking or strenuous activity during early healing. Flights, hotel nights and companion arrangements are separate unless expressly included.
What may be included in the written package?
Ask for each service in writing rather than relying on “all-inclusive”. Depending on the plan, the quote may identify:
assessment and imaging for the specified jaw;
four implants and their brand or components;
the temporary full-arch prosthesis and any included laboratory work;
anaesthesia, medication, reviews and any included extractions;
airport transfers, hotel nights and coordinator support if listed; and
the timing and separate price of the definitive restoration.
What may be outside the price?
return flights, travel insurance and personal spending;
a companion's travel, meals or accommodation;
the definitive permanent bridge or denture;
a second jaw, bone graft, sinus lift and additional extractions;
extra hotel nights, private tests or extended dental care unless itemised; and
care for complications or repairs outside the written agreement or after you return home.
Preparing for All-on-4 treatment
Share dental records, imaging, gum history, previous extractions or implants, medical conditions, medicines, supplements, allergies, smoking, diabetes control and teeth-grinding habits.
Ask whether the plan is for one jaw, what teeth may be removed and whether bone grafting, sinus work or a different implant design could be needed.
Confirm the temporary prosthesis, implant brands, laboratory work, appointment schedule and definitive-restoration plan in writing.
Follow instructions about fasting, smoking, alcohol, medicines and oral hygiene. Never stop prescribed blood thinners without clinical advice.
Arrange soft food, help with luggage and a suitable place to recover; do not plan smoking or strenuous activity after surgery.
Confirm cleaning, diet, warning signs, reviews, emergency contact and the safe travel interval before booking flights.
Recovery and long-term dental care
Swelling, bruising, soreness, bleeding and difficulty chewing can occur after implant placement or extractions. Follow the dentist's instructions for cleaning, mouthwash, medication and soft foods, and avoid smoking or putting excessive force through the temporary prosthesis.
Implants need time to integrate with the jawbone before the definitive restoration is fitted. The temporary teeth may need adjustment, and the final bridge or denture must be designed and checked for fit, bite, speech and cleaning. Long-term implant care is the patient's responsibility and should continue with a qualified dentist at home.
Possible complications include infection, bleeding, delayed healing, implant failure to integrate, gum inflammation, peri-implantitis, loosened or worn components, bite problems, prosthesis fracture and the need for further treatment. Contact the dental team promptly about uncontrolled bleeding, increasing swelling, fever, pus, severe pain, numbness, difficulty swallowing or breathing or another unexpected symptom.
The provider tariff range on this page is 3,600–4,200 EUR for four implants and a temporary prosthesis on one jaw as of September 2026. The permanent restoration and extra procedures must be confirmed separately.
Does the All-on-4 price include permanent teeth?
+
No. This defined price covers the one-jaw implant and temporary-prosthesis stage. The definitive bridge or denture is a later restorative stage and should be quoted in writing.
Are four implants suitable for every patient?
+
No. Bone, gum health, bite forces, smoking, medical conditions and oral hygiene affect suitability. Examination and imaging are needed before the dentist confirms the design.
Am I suitable for All-on-4 in Turkey?
+
Suitability depends on your teeth and gums, bone, general health, medicines, smoking, bite, oral hygiene and ability to attend restorative appointments. The dental team decides the plan.
How long should I stay in Turkey for All-on-4?
+
Allow time for consultation, imaging, surgery, temporary-prosthesis fitting, bite review and travel clearance. A later visit may be needed for the definitive restoration, according to the dental plan.
What is recovery like after All-on-4 implants?
+
Swelling, soreness and temporary chewing limits are possible. Follow soft-food, cleaning and medication instructions, avoid smoking and attend reviews; the permanent restoration comes after healing.
Are hotel and flights included in the All-on-4 price?
+
Only if expressly listed. Check the quote for one or both jaws, implants, temporary and permanent prostheses, imaging, extractions, grafting, hotel nights, transfers and follow-up.
