Arm lift — Just Clinic Istanbul

As of September 2026, the indicative arm lift cost in Turkey on this page is 2,400-4,500 EUR per operation. The range covers mini, standard, extended and selected liposuction-assisted plans; incision, treated area, anaesthesia, hospital care and other inclusions are confirmed after assessment.

Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for arm lift procedures from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.

The final written quote can change with complexity, technique, anaesthesia, hospital arrangements, tests, medication, accommodation, transfers and follow-up. Anything not named in writing should be treated as outside the price.

With your consent, enquiries may be forwarded to independent healthcare providers or authorised medical tourism organisations.

Use the country table as editorial orientation only. Ranges can cover different scopes from one country to another; compare the same procedure, inclusions and follow-up in writing before treating any figure as meaningful.

An arm lift — brachioplasty in medical language — removes loose skin from the inner arm that the gym will not tighten. The extra fold is usually left after a large weight loss, after bariatric surgery, or with age. Liposuction on its own does not take that skin away. The scar of a standard lift remains; it fades over months, but it does not disappear.

Where included in the written offer, the treating hospital or clinic arranges accommodation and transfers for the Istanbul stay. The surgeon named on your written quote is the person who operates. To find out how other patients experienced an arm lift in Turkey — the first days, the sleeve and the weeks after flying home — you can read our blog article on brachioplasty recovery.

Surgeons usually consider people who are close to a stable, healthy weight and still have hanging skin on the upper arm. Typical situations include after major weight loss or bariatric surgery, or when the inner arm has loosened with age. A cosmetic procedure of this kind is not routinely NHS-funded.

The operation is often postponed if you still plan to lose a large amount of weight, if you cannot accept an inner-arm scar, or if smoking or a long-term condition makes healing less safe. None of this is a promise that you are suitable. That decision is made after photographs of both arms (front and crossed), your history and a personal medical assessment.

The realistic aim is a firmer inner-arm contour so the skin no longer hangs when the arm is down. The scar sits along the inner arm — or in the armpit on a mini lift, or onto the side of the chest on an extended one. The result is not the same on every arm, and no clinic can guarantee a particular look. Weight you put back on later will change the shape you see after the initial recovery.

The surgeon chooses the incision from how much skin there is, not from a package name. A mini lift is not the same operation as a cut from armpit to elbow.

  • Mini (axillary): mild laxity; the scar stays in the armpit. Guide band 2,400–2,800 EUR.
  • Standard: armpit to elbow along the inner arm. The most common plan. Guide band 2,800–3,800 EUR.
  • With liposuction on the same arm when there is fat as well as loose skin. Guide band 3,200–4,200 EUR.
  • Extended: the incision continues onto the side of the chest, often after major weight loss. Guide band 3,800–4,500 EUR.

J-Plasma or liposuction alone will not remove that skin excess; they are not quoted on this page. If you also want a thigh lift, that is another procedure and another quote.

Theatre time is usually 1.5 to 3 hours. A mini can be shorter. An extended lift, or a plan that adds liposuction, can take longer. Combined operations add time. The written plan is the one that counts.

An arm lift is done under general anaesthetic. You are asleep for the whole operation. If a different plan is safer given your medical history, the anaesthetic team explains that before the day.

You usually stay 1 or 2 nights in hospital. That is not the same as the total time in Istanbul. Compression sleeves are fitted before you leave the ward.

Plan 5 to 7 nights in the city. That window covers the consultation, the operation, the hospital nights, the first dressings and clearance to fly. Four nights is too short. Seven to ten belongs to a different procedure, not this one. The hospital stay sits inside those nights; it does not replace them. Discharge is signed by the surgeon — it is not an advertising date.

What to do

  • Send photographs of both arms from the front and with the arms crossed, plus a clear history of weight change, so you have a written quote before you book flights.
  • Stay as close as you can to a stable weight. Large changes after the operation alter the result.
  • Arrange someone to help you in the first days. You will not want to lift bags or raise your arms above the shoulders.
  • Follow the hospital’s fasting instructions on the day. That list comes from the ward, not from a blog.

What not to do

  • Do not stop or start medicines — including blood-thinners, anti-inflammatories or supplements — on your own. The surgeon and anaesthetic team tell you what to change and when.
  • Do not smoke if the team has asked you to stop. Smoking reduces blood flow in the skin and raises the risk of poor healing. How long to stop is their instruction.
  • Do not book four nights. That is too short for this protocol.
  • Do not expect the inner-arm scar to disappear. If you cannot accept that mark, this is not your operation.

Two timelines matter, and they are not the same.

Daily life and desk work. Many people manage short walks from the first day. You wear a compression sleeve and you will not raise your arms above the shoulders at first. Light, desk-based work is often possible in 1 to 2 weeks. Swelling and tightness are expected; an extended incision needs more rest than a mini.

Full recovery and sport. Heavy lifting, gym work and raising the arms fully wait longer. Most people wait about four to six weeks before harder exercise; some need longer before the team clears unrestricted training. The scar keeps settling for months; the contour you see after the initial recovery is not the final one.

Your own pace depends on the incision, your job and how you heal. Follow the written aftercare, not a generic calendar.

These notes answer questions people raise before they accept a written treatment plan. They describe what that plan should make clear. Is the main problem extra fat, extra skin or separated abdominal muscles, and which of those will this operation treat?

ASPS notes that when a large amount of fat is removed, extra skin can need a second operation. J-Plasma, also called Renuvion, aims to tighten skin with heat. It should not be written as a replacement for a tummy tuck or an arm or thigh lift when there is a hanging skin apron or a clear separation of the abdominal muscles. Source: ASPS liposuction safety.

How are a seroma, a wound opening or skin loss recognised and treated?

ASPS lists fluid collection, poor wound healing and heat injury among liposuction risks. A seroma is a wavy swelling under the incision. A small one may be absorbed. A collection that persists can be aspirated. One that is infected or threatening the skin is drained. A wound that opens, or skin that turns black, is a sign of tension, smoking, infection or a circulation problem. It is not a mark to close at home with a dressing. Drains, compression and the review date should be written down. Fever, a bad smell, an open wound and rapidly growing swelling should be reported without delay. Source: ASPS liposuction safety.

After I go home, who follows a wound problem or a suspected clot, and who pays for extra treatment?

The NHS asks people having cosmetic surgery abroad to settle in advance where reviews happen and what further surgery and a return journey cost. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. The NHS uses 5–7 days after liposuction or breast surgery, and 7–10 days after a tummy tuck, as planning windows before flying. A painful swollen calf with breathlessness or chest pain is an emergency-department symptom. This page does not say that any partner pays those items. Source: NHS advice on cosmetic surgery abroad.

Can my arms feel numb after an arm lift?

Yes. Numbness or other changes in skin sensation are recognised risks of arm-lift surgery. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons also lists possible nerve injury among the risks. Whether a person experiences a sensation change, and how long it lasts, varies. Ask the operating plastic surgeon which areas may be affected, how sensation changes are assessed during follow-up, and whom to contact if you notice a new or concerning change after surgery. Read the ASPS arm-lift safety information and discuss individual risks with the surgeon responsible for your care.

Can liposuction be combined with an arm lift?

It can be included in some arm-lift plans when both loose skin and excess fat need attention, but the choice depends on your skin, anatomy and goals. Liposuction reduces fullness; it does not remove a hanging skin fold on its own. A liposuction-assisted arm lift is a distinct treatment plan, with its own quote and recovery considerations. Ask the plastic surgeon to explain which part of the concern each technique addresses. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ arm-lift procedure guide notes that excess fat may be removed directly or treated with liposuction.

Frequently asked questions about cost

How much does an arm lift cost in Turkey in 2026? +

As of September 2026 the arm lift Turkey price on this page is 2,400–4,500 EUR. Mini, standard, with liposuction and extended sit in that band. The written quote is what you pay.

When can I fly after an arm lift? +

When the surgeon discharges you, usually inside the 5 to 7 nights in Istanbul. Four nights is too short. Seven to ten is another procedure’s stay, not this one.

Are flights included in the package? +

Flights are usually extra. Check the written quote. Book flexible dates in case discharge is delayed.

Will the scar disappear? +

No. A standard inner-arm scar fades over months, but it does not disappear. A mini keeps the mark in the armpit; an extended one continues onto the chest. If you cannot accept that, this is not your operation.

Can an arm lift and a thigh lift be combined? +

Sometimes, if the surgeon considers it safe — it is common after major weight loss. Theatre time is longer and that quote is not the one on this page. It sits on the thigh lift page.

How does an arm lift in Turkey compare with a UK private quote? +

UK private care is usually surgery alone: mini 4,000–5,500 EUR equivalent, standard 5,000–6,500 EUR and extended 6,000–7,500 EUR, quoted in pounds, without hotel. A Turkish package can include hospital, sleeves and post-operative follow-up arrangements. Compare the same items. Savings are not guaranteed.
