Smile design — Just Clinic Istanbul

As of September 2026, the indicative smile design cost in Turkey on this page is 2,500-9,000 EUR per dental plan. The range can cover veneers, crowns or wider visible-zone work; the number of teeth, material, preparation, laboratory stages and any treatment outside the plan must be confirmed in writing after examination.

Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for smile design procedures from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.

The final written quote can change with complexity, technique, anaesthesia, hospital arrangements, tests, medication and follow-up. Anything not named in writing should be treated as outside the price.

Just Clinic Istanbul is an independent marketing and lead-generation platform, not a healthcare provider or medical tourism intermediary. Enquiries may be shared with authorised healthcare partners with your consent.

Use the country table as editorial orientation only. Ranges can cover different scopes from one country to another; compare the same procedure, inclusions and follow-up in writing before treating any figure as meaningful.

A smile design is a written plan for the teeth you see when you talk: veneers, crowns, whitening, or implants if a tooth cannot be saved. Ten E-max veneers on the upper smile zone are not the same bill as a full-mouth crown plan or an All-on-4. It is not orthodontics: Invisalign cannot be finished in a tourism week.

The dentist named on your written quote is the person who treats you. To find out how other patients experienced smile design in Turkey — the temporaries, the try-in and the days after flying home — you can read our blog article on the stay and recovery.

Dentists usually consider people who want to change colour or shape in the visible zone, whose gums are healthy enough to work on, and who can attend three sessions in Istanbul. The NHS does not routinely fund a cosmetic smile design.

The plan is often postponed if alignment should come first, if there is untreated gum disease, or if implants need a second trip months later. None of this is a promise that you are suitable. That decision is made after photographs, X-rays or a CBCT, your history and a personal dental assessment.

The realistic aim is a more even colour and shape in the agreed teeth, not a copied celebrity smile and not a lifetime without reviews. A veneer covers colour and shape without grinding a healthy tooth down to a stump. A crown is used if there is wear, a large cavity or a root canal. Whitening is often a first step; it does not replace a 16–20 unit plan. No clinic can guarantee a particular look.

The dentist chooses veneers, crowns or implants from your teeth, not from a package name.

  • In-clinic whitening: 90–250 EUR.
  • Veneer or crown (per unit): composite 120–220 EUR, zirconia 120–350 EUR, porcelain or E-max 250–350 EUR. Some ads show E-max at 300–600 EUR if the laboratory is billed separately.
  • Implant with crown (per unit): 350–800 EUR.
  • Hollywood smile (10–12 E-max veneers): 2,000–4,000 EUR.
  • Wider plan (more units or crowns): 3,500–7,000 EUR.
  • All-on-4 (per arch): 2,300–5,500 EUR. All-on-6 (per arch): 3,200–7,000 EUR. These often need more days or a second trip months later.

How many teeth sit in the plan also moves the figure: 8–10 upper teeth often 1,200–3,500 EUR in clinic; 12 units 2,000–4,000 EUR; 16 units 3,200–5,500 EUR; 20 units 3,500–7,000 EUR; 24–28 units up to 9,000 EUR. An invoice of 5,000–8,000 EUR is usually 20–28 crowns, not ten veneers. There is no ceramic-brand surcharge invented on this page.

The usual plan is three sessions over several days: assessment and preparation, a try-in of shape and colour, then cementation. Each sitting is chair time set by how many teeth are prepared — not a night on a surgical ward. With CAD/CAM in the same centre, 3 or 4 days can sometimes be enough. All-on work is a different calendar.

Veneer and crown work is done under local anaesthetic. If sedation is safer given your medical history, the dental team explains that before the day. It is not a general anaesthetic like a body operation unless the written plan says so.

This is clinic dentistry, not an overnight ward stay. Temporaries go in after preparation so you are not left without a smile between sittings.

Plan 5 to 7 days in the city and three sessions. That window covers photographs and X-ray or CBCT on day 0, preparation and temporaries on days 1–2, try-in and cementation on days 3–6, and clearance to fly around day 5–7. All-on or implants often need a second trip months later for the definitive crown. Discharge is signed by the dentist.

What to do

  • Send photographs and recent X-rays so you have a written unit count and material before you book flights.
  • Tell the dentist about root canals, grinding and gum treatment. Hidden work changes the quote on day 0.
  • Book your usual dentist in the UK for an in-person review after you fly home. Ask Istanbul for the report and X-rays in writing.
  • Follow the clinic’s instructions on eating and anaesthetic on session days. That list comes from the chair, not from a blog.

What not to do

  • Do not stop or start medicines on your own. The dental and anaesthetic team tell you what to change and when.
  • Do not assume ten veneers will hide crowding that needs orthodontics first.
  • Do not book a three-day city break. Five to seven days and three sessions is the protocol here.
  • Do not treat “Turkey teeth” as one fee, and do not treat an advertised “from” figure as the amount you will pay.

Two timelines matter, and they are not the same.

Daily life and desk work. Sensitivity after preparation is common. Many people go back to desk work as soon as they fly home. You eat with care on the temporaries; colour and shape are approved before final cementation. The stay in Istanbul is the calendar of three sessions, not months of dental healing.

Full recovery and harder use. How long the veneers last is set by hygiene, grinding and check-ups. Hard biting, very hard foods and unsupervised whitening kits wait until the dentist who cemented them — or your UK dentist — says so. Implants and All-on follow a longer bone calendar and often a second trip.

Your own pace depends on how many teeth were prepared and whether crowns or implants were needed. Follow the written aftercare, not a generic calendar.

Which tooth needs treatment, will a sound tooth be cut down, and is there a more conservative option?

An extraction should not become part of an All-on plan until it is written that the tooth cannot be restored because of a crack, the remaining tooth structure, or the periodontal support. A sound tooth is not automatically reduced to even a smile line. Source: AAE on saving a natural tooth.

How will decay and gum health be assessed before a crown, implant or smile plan?

Active periodontal disease means pocket depth, bleeding and bone support are recorded before veneer or crown preparation starts. Untreated gum disease is also among the reasons a dental implant can fail. Source: FDA dental implants.

How will a new crown or prosthesis affect my bite and chewing force?

The FDA lists a bite that does not feel normal, and an abutment screw that loosens so the tooth seems to twist, among implant risks. Contact with the opposing teeth should be checked before a new crown or bridge is cemented. If you clench or grind, a night guard should be written separately. Source: FDA dental implants.

If I develop an infection, lose an implant or break a prosthesis after I go home, who follows that and who pays?

The FDA asks you to tell the dentist without delay if an implant is loose or painful. The NHS asks people treated abroad to get the cost of further treatment and a return journey in writing beforehand. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. A manufacturer’s record does not pay for a second flight or a new prosthesis. Sources: FDA dental implants, NHS advice on cosmetic surgery abroad.

If I have veneers removed, will my teeth go back to how they were?

Usually, a tooth does not return to its original state if enamel was removed to prepare it for a veneer. The amount of preparation varies by tooth and plan; some veneers need less enamel removal than others. A veneer may also chip, wear or loosen and need repair or replacement over time. Before agreeing, ask the dentist to show which teeth would be prepared, how much natural tooth structure is expected to be removed, and what the alternatives and future maintenance could involve. The American Dental Association’s veneer guidance explains that treatment is not reversible when enamel is removed.

Can I whiten my teeth after veneers?

Whitening can lighten natural teeth, but it does not change the shade of existing veneers or other tooth-coloured restorations. If natural teeth are bleached after veneers are fitted, their colour may no longer match the restorations. If you are planning a smile redesign, ask the dentist to assess your teeth and agree the order and target shade before treatment; do not start a whitening course on your own to try to match veneers. The American Dental Association’s guidance on whitening explains that bleaching affects natural teeth, not restorations.

Frequently asked questions about cost

How much is a smile design in Turkey in 2026? +

As of September 2026 the package on this page is 2,500–9,000 EUR. A Hollywood smile of 10 to 12 E-max veneers is usually 2,000–4,000 EUR. Units and material should be itemised in the written treatment plan.

How much do veneers cost in Turkey per tooth? +

Usually 120–350 EUR per tooth, depending on composite, zirconia or E-max. Ten or twelve E-max veneers usually run from 2,000 to 4,000 EUR. Ask which temporary restorations and X-rays are included in the written clinical plan.

How many days should I stay in Istanbul? +

Usually 5 to 7 days and three sessions: preparation, try-in and cementation. With CAD/CAM sometimes 3 or 4 days. Leave room for 1 or 2 extra nights. All-on often needs a second trip months later.

Veneers or crowns — which is which? +

A veneer covers colour and shape without grinding a healthy tooth down. A crown covers the whole tooth when there is wear, a large cavity or a root canal. The dentist decides, not the advert.

Who sees me in the UK afterwards? +

Your usual dentist for in-person checks. Ask Istanbul for the report and X-rays before you fly. A remote consultation is only included if it is in the contract.

How do veneers in Turkey compare with a UK private quote? +

UK private care is usually clinic treatment alone: a Hollywood smile 5,000–12,000 EUR equivalent, quoted in pounds. Compare the same units, materials and clinical stages in each written plan. Savings are not guaranteed.
