Hair transplant and gynaecomastia package — Just Clinic Istanbul

In September 2026, the cost of Hair Transplant + Gynecomastia in Turkey is 4,800 – 9,000 EUR for the combined hair-transplant and gynecomastia scope shown here. The written plan should confirm the graft assessment, chest-surgery plan, hospital and anaesthetic arrangements, first checks, medication. Suitability and safe sequencing for each procedure must be confirmed by the relevant clinicians in writing.

Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for scalp hair transplant and gynecomastia surgery from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.

This stay pairs two different sittings in one Istanbul trip: follicular units taken from the scalp donor and placed into a thinning hairline, mid-scalp or crown, and a male-chest plan that flattens enlarged gland, fat, or both. Extraction is FUE with a small punch. Firm gland under the nipple is usually taken out through a small cut at the areola; softer fat around it can be taken with liposuction. It is not a ladies hair sitting, not a female breast reduction, and not a density-plus-flat-chest promise from a photograph.

The written offer from your treating hospital or clinic should confirm the scope for this combined package: the FUE map and the chest sitting named after assessment, a hospital night after the chest. Who extracts, who implants and who operates on the chest belongs on the paper, not in a slogan.

Surgeons usually consider adult men with patterned scalp loss and a usable donor, whose chest has not flattened after weight is stable, who will wear a compression vest, and who accept that the two sittings are sequenced, not squeezed into one lunch hour. Soft fat without gland is a different chest map from a firm disc under the nipple. If the donor is modest, the hair plan may stay conservative so the bank is not emptied in the same week as a chest operation.

The date is often postponed if a large weight change is still coming, if a hormone cause of the chest has not been looked at, if the team has asked you to stop smoking, or if a long-term condition makes a general anaesthetic less safe. A racing hair loss that will outrun one sitting, active scalp disease, or spare chest skin that hangs after a big loss may need a different quote. Send daylight photographs — scalp front, top, sides and the donor at the back, plus chest front and both sides standing — without a filter. Suitability is confirmed in Istanbul before anyone operates.

Over-harvesting the donor to chase a packed hairline in the same week as emptying the chest to match another man’s photograph is refused; that is a clinical limit, not an upsell.

Plan five to seven days in the city. That window covers the in-person assessment, the two sittings as sequenced on the paper, the hospital night after the chest, the first hair wash, the first vest check and clearance to fly. Two or three nights belong to a hair-only outpatient stay, not this pair. The hospital night sits inside those days; it does not replace them. Leave room for an extra night if the team asks.

The chest is under general anaesthetic. The hair session is under local anaesthetic, with or without sedation, and is usually four to eight hours. The two are not assumed to share one theatre list: the written plan names the order of days. Discharge is signed by the team — it is not an advertising date.

The first weeks are dual care: scalp rules (no gym sweat, no tight hat, no scratching) and chest rules (vest as shown, no heavy bags, no chest-press work). Sleep as you were shown so grafts are not crushed and the vest still sits. Shock loss in weeks two to four is expected on the scalp; transplanted hairs often shed before they grow. New hair is often seen around month three or four; density builds between six and twelve months. Chest swelling settles over weeks; the contour is not the day-three photograph. Desk work is often one to two weeks if the surgeon agrees. None of that is a density or flat-chest guarantee.

Red flags after you return — spreading redness on scalp or chest, pus, a temperature that persists, a collection that is getting larger, pain that is getting worse, or breathlessness — mean a local clinician or A&E first, then your coordinator. Take the discharge note with you.

These notes answer questions people raise before they accept a written treatment plan. They describe what that plan should make clear. They are not a promise that any partner hospital uses a particular technique, device or payment arrangement. With your consent, an enquiry may be shared with an authorised healthcare partner.

How much donor hair can safely be taken, and what reserve should remain?

The permanent donor zone is the hair at the back and sides that resists pattern loss. Capacity is not a follicle count per square centimetre on its own. Hair calibre, curl, the contrast between hair and scalp, and how much of that zone may later be exposed all belong in the written plan. Taking more than that zone can thin the donor area and make the small round FUE marks easier to see. A high graft slogan does not measure the reserve that is left. Source: ISHRS position statement on physician practice.

Why is FUE, an implanter pen, or another approach being proposed?

ISHRS treats taking tissue from the donor area and making the recipient sites as separate surgical steps. FUE describes removing grafts one by one from the back or sides. DHI, or a Choi implanter, describes how a prepared graft is placed. It is not a second operation that replaces FUE. The written plan should name the harvest instrument and the placement instrument separately. Source: ISHRS position statement on physician practice.

Who will diagnose, design, harvest, make the sites, place the grafts and follow up?

The ISHRS board statement revised on 13 July 2024 says that diagnosis, planning, donor harvesting, hairline design, recipient-site creation, management of medical problems and aftercare are to be done by a licensed physician trained in hair restoration. In some countries a physician assistant or nurse practitioner may work within the limits of that licence and under that physician’s supervision. ISHRS regards a surgical step performed by an unlicensed person as unethical. Graft placement is not a separate bullet in that list, so the written plan still has to name who places the grafts. Ongoing loss of your own hair does not cancel the transplant, and longer-term medical follow-up should be written down as well. Source: ISHRS position statement on physician practice.

For gynecomastia, why liposuction, gland removal, or both, and will the tissue go to pathology?

The fatty part is taken with liposuction. The gland is cut out. Liposuction alone may not correct a firm gland. A lump that is on one side, firm, new, or pulling the nipple needs breast cancer kept in the differential first. Whether suspicious tissue will be sent to pathology should be written down. Source: European Academy of Andrology gynecomastia guideline.

How will nipple sensation and a natural chest contour be protected?

Taking too much of the gland under the nipple can leave a crater. A change in sensation can be temporary or lasting. The two sides may not match. Fat grafting or a second correction for a crater or asymmetry should not be assumed to sit inside the first fee. Source: ASPS gynecomastia surgery safety.

How are clot, haematoma and seroma assessed, and what is done if they develop?

ASPS lists fluid collection, uneven contour and deep-vein thrombosis among liposuction risks. A firm, purple, growing swelling is a haematoma, and a large one is evacuated. A wavy swelling is a seroma. A collection that persists can be aspirated. A painful swollen calf with breathlessness is an emergency-department symptom. Source: ASPS liposuction safety.

After I go home, who follows asymmetry, a seroma or another complication, and who pays for revision?

The NHS asks people to get the cost of further surgery and a return journey in writing beforehand. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. This page does not say that any partner pays for revision. Source: NHS advice on cosmetic surgery abroad.

Can my existing hair shed temporarily after a transplant?

Yes. ISHRS describes temporary “shock loss” (telogen effluvium) in which existing, non-transplanted hairs may shed after a hair transplant; it can make the area look thinner for a time. This is different from the temporary shedding of transplanted hairs that can happen before later growth begins. ISHRS says the native-hair shedding is typically temporary, but this does not predict what will happen in an individual case. Ask the doctor responsible for your care what shedding to expect and when a change should be reviewed. Read the ISHRS FUE guidance for its description of native-hair shedding after surgery.

What tests might I need before gynecomastia surgery?

There is no single test panel for everyone. Assessment usually starts with your history, including when the enlargement began and any medicines or supplements, plus an examination to distinguish glandular tissue from fat and check for findings that need investigation. Depending on the history and examination, a clinician may consider blood tests for hormones or thyroid, liver or kidney function, and sometimes testicular ultrasound or breast imaging. Imaging is not automatically required when examination is clear; a suspicious finding needs prompt diagnostic assessment. The European Academy of Andrology guideline recommends that a thorough work-up, when warranted, be guided by a specialist. Ask the clinician assessing you which tests are relevant before surgery. The EAA clinical practice guideline describes this assessment approach.

The following is an example of wording in a hair-transplant certificate issued by Estethica. The graft-count placeholder is left blank, as it is in the supplied document:

With your consent and acceptance of the operation, your hair transplant operation was performed with ........ grafts and the operation got completed. As long as you fully fulfill all procedures correctly before and after surgery, you will not experience loss of any graft implanted. We guarantee that the number of grafts implanted are accurate and that the implanted hair will grow in a healthy way.

This quotation reproduces Estethica’s document wording and its statement is conditional on following the procedures before and after surgery. It is the issuer’s wording, not a guarantee by Just Clinic Istanbul or an unnamed clinic. It does not show that this certificate is included with, or applies to, any package discussed on this page. The supplied certificate does not state lifetime cover, a refund or free repeat surgery.
