Chin surgery cost in Turkey
As of September 2026, the indicative chin surgery cost in Turkey on this page is 2,300-5,200 EUR per operation. The range covers chin implant and bony genioplasty plans; imaging, implant choice or bone work, anaesthesia, hospital care and inclusions are confirmed after assessment.
Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for chin surgery procedures from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.
The final written quote can change with complexity, technique, anaesthesia, hospital arrangements, tests, medication, accommodation, transfers and follow-up. Anything not named in writing should be treated as outside the price.
With your consent, enquiries may be forwarded to independent healthcare providers or authorised medical tourism organisations.
Chin surgery cost compared by country
Use the country table as editorial orientation only. Ranges can cover different scopes from one country to another; compare the same procedure, inclusions and follow-up in writing before treating any figure as meaningful.
Chin surgery changes how far the chin sits in the profile. The surgeon either places an implant or moves your own bone — a bony genioplasty — and fixes it with mini-plates. It is not filler, and it is not a millimetre-perfect magazine profile. Filler lasts months and is charged in clinic, not in theatre.
Where included in the written offer, the treating hospital or clinic arranges accommodation and transfers for the Istanbul stay. The surgeon named on your written quote is the person who operates. To find out how other patients experienced chin surgery in Turkey — the first days, the strap and the weeks after flying home — you can read our blog article on facial balance and recovery.
Who is chin surgery for?
Surgeons usually consider people who are bothered by a receding or weak chin, who are close to a stable weight, and whose bite does not need a different jaw operation first. A cosmetic procedure of this kind is not routinely NHS-funded.
The operation is often postponed if the bite needs orthognathic work, if you smoke and the team has asked you to stop, or if a long-term condition makes healing less safe. None of this is a promise that you are suitable. That decision is made after front and profile photographs, your history and a personal medical assessment.
What the operation aims to do
The realistic aim is a chin that sits in better balance with the nose and the neck. The result is not the same on every face, and no clinic can guarantee a particular millimetre or look. An implant is often reversible; moving the bone is not. Weight change and further injury can alter the profile you see after the initial recovery.
Techniques used
The surgeon chooses implant or bone from your profile, not from a package name.
Chin implant: a silicone implant or another agreed material. Quicker, and often reversible. Guide band 2,300–3,800 EUR.
Bony genioplasty: your own bone is advanced and fixed with mini-plates. More theatre time. Guide band 3,500–5,200 EUR.
Adding rhinoplasty or double-chin liposuction under the same anaesthetic raises the amount and can exceed 5,200 EUR. This page is chin surgery only, not a profiloplasty (nose and chin in the same sitting).
How long the operation takes
Theatre time is usually 1 to 2 hours. An implant can be shorter. A bony genioplasty can take longer. Combined operations add time. The written plan is the one that counts.
Anaesthetic
Chin surgery is done under general anaesthetic, or sometimes local anaesthetic with sedation for a straightforward implant. If a different plan is safer given your medical history, the anaesthetic team explains that before the day.
Hospital stay
You usually go home the same day or stay 1 night in hospital. That is not the same as the total time in Istanbul. A chin strap is fitted before you leave the ward.
How long to stay in Istanbul
Plan 3 to 5 nights in the city. That window covers the consultation, the operation, the strap check and clearance to fly. Five to seven or seven to ten nights belong to other procedures, not this one. The hospital night, if there is one, sits inside those nights; it does not replace them. Discharge is signed by the surgeon — it is not an advertising date.
What to do — and not do — before surgery
What to do
Send front and profile photographs and a clear history — including previous chin treatment — so you have a written quote before you book flights.
Plan soft food for the first days. You will not want to chew hard.
Arrange someone to help you. A chin strap is worn at first.
Follow the hospital’s fasting instructions on the day if a general anaesthetic is planned. That list comes from the ward, not from a blog.
What not to do
Do not stop or start medicines — including blood-thinners, anti-inflammatories or supplements — on your own. The surgeon and anaesthetic team tell you what to change and when.
Do not smoke if the team has asked you to stop. Smoking raises the risk of poor healing. How long to stop is their instruction.
Do not treat filler as the same operation.
Do not expect a millimetre-perfect profile from a drawing.
Recovery
Two timelines matter, and they are not the same.
Daily life and desk work. You wear a chin strap for the first days. Chew gently and eat soft food. Light, desk-based work is often possible in 2 to 4 weeks. Swelling and tightness are expected. An osteotomy needs more rest than a straightforward implant.
Full recovery and sport. Harder exercise and anything that could knock the chin wait longer. Most people wait about four to six weeks before the team clears unrestricted training. The profile keeps settling for months; the shape you see after the initial recovery is not the final one.
Your own pace depends on implant versus bone, your job and how you heal. Follow the written aftercare, not a generic calendar.

Questions from you
These notes answer questions people raise before they accept a written treatment plan. They describe what that plan should make clear. They are not a promise that any partner hospital uses a particular technique, device or payment arrangement. With your consent, an enquiry may be shared with an authorised healthcare partner.
For the chin, why an implant rather than a bony genioplasty, or the other way round?
ASPS describes two main routes. For a chin that sits back, an implant is placed on the bone through an incision inside the mouth or under the chin. A chin that projects too far can be reduced by burring the bone. The chin bone itself can be moved forward and fixed with plates. If the bite would be changed, the answer may be jaw surgery rather than a chin-tip implant. An implant is usually a shorter operation and can be removed. Infection, shifting and an implant that can be felt are the problems that route has to discuss in writing. A bony movement leaves plates and screws, and the nerve and bone healing are separate risks. The choice should be written from projection, height, width, asymmetry and the bite, not from a profile photograph alone. Source: ASPS chin surgery.
Where will the incisions be, and how can the scar, hairline, ear shape or symmetry change?
ASPS lists a poor scar, temporary or permanent hair loss at the incision, asymmetry, and a visible distortion at the ends of the incision among facelift risks. Too much tension on the earlobe can pull it forward into what is sometimes called a pixie ear. The written plan should show the incision in the hair-bearing scalp, in front of the ear, behind the lobe and in the hair behind the ear. For the chin, ASPS describes an incision inside the mouth or in the skin under the chin. An intraoral incision leaves no external scar, and infection and contact between the implant and mouth bacteria are discussed separately. A submental incision leaves a short external scar. Millimetre-perfect equality of the two sides cannot be promised. Sources: ASPS facelift safety, ASPS chin surgery.
If vision changes, the eye will not close, the face becomes weak, or a haematoma develops after I go home, what happens and who pays?
The symptoms that need review without delay depend on the operation. After a face, neck, brow or temple lift: rapidly growing swelling on one side, pain, breathlessness or new facial weakness. After eyelid surgery: a lid that will not close, severe pain, an eye being pushed forward, or reduced vision. After facial fat injection: sudden loss of vision. ASPS lists blindness among eyelid-surgery risks, while describing it as very rare. A significant haematoma is treated by evacuation, as described above. Fat in a vessel needs emergency eye assessment. The NHS asks people to settle in writing, before cosmetic surgery abroad, where reviews happen, what further surgery and a return journey cost, and whether the clinic’s insurance covers the patient. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. Follow-up after an operation in the UK is the surgeon’s responsibility. A clinic abroad may not offer the same follow-up or a doctor in your own country. The NHS uses 7–10 days after facial cosmetic surgery as a planning window before flying, because of clot risk. Your own surgeon gives the personal clearance. This page does not say that any partner pays for admission, revision or the return flight. What can I eat after chin surgery?
Follow the diet given by your surgical team. The page advises soft food and gentle chewing during early recovery; if an implant is placed through the mouth, ASPS says a liquid diet or special mouth rinses may be recommended. The plan can differ between an intraoral implant and bone surgery, so ask what texture is suitable, how long to follow it and how to clean the mouth. Do not force chewing through pain. How much does chin surgery cost in Turkey in 2026?
+
As of September 2026 the chin surgery Turkey price on this page is 2,300–5,200 EUR. Implant and bony genioplasty sit in that band. The written quote is what you pay.
When can I fly after chin surgery?
+
When the surgeon discharges you, usually inside the 3 to 5 nights in Istanbul. Five to seven or seven to ten nights belong to other procedures, not this one.
Are flights included in the package?
+
Flights are usually extra. Check the written quote. Book flexible dates in case discharge is delayed.
What is the difference between an implant and a bony genioplasty?
+
An implant is quicker and often reversible. A bony genioplasty moves your own bone and fixes it with plates. Theatre time and the quote are higher. The surgeon decides after photographs.
Is filler the same as chin surgery?
+
No. Hyaluronic acid lasts months and is charged in clinic, not in theatre. This page is surgical only.
How does chin surgery in Turkey compare with a UK private quote?
+
UK private care is usually surgery alone: implant 3,500–6,500 EUR equivalent and osteotomy 5,000–8,000 EUR, quoted in pounds, without hotel. A Turkish package can include hospital or same-day discharge, strap and post-operative follow-up arrangements. Compare the same items. Savings are not guaranteed.
