As of September 2026, Chin Surgery All-Inclusive Package costs 2,800 – 5,700 EUR in Turkey for the chin-surgery scope shown on this page. The written offer should confirm the surgical approach, whether an implant or another technique is planned, hospital and anaesthetic arrangements, first checks, medication and any listed aftercare. Additional facial work should only be included when written.

Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for chin surgery from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.

Chin surgery — mentoplasty — changes how far the chin sits on the profile so the lower face lines up with the nose and lips. Two usual routes sit on this stay: a medical silicone implant placed through a cut inside the lower lip or in the crease under the chin, or sliding genioplasty, where the bone is cut, moved and held with small plates. Reduction of a chin that already sits too far forward is a different map if that paper names it. It is not hyaluronic filler, not a neck lift, and not a millimetre copied from a photograph.

The written plan should identify the chin procedure and state whether an implant or sliding genioplasty is proposed. The operating clinician should be named.

Surgeons usually consider adults whose facial growth has finished, whose bite already works, and whose change is still a chin problem rather than loose neck skin or a jaw that needs moving as a unit. Typical reasons are a chin that sits back in side photographs, a nose that looks larger because the chin is short, or a mild height or side-to-side imbalance the bone can still correct. Filler can pad a mild dip for a while; it does not move bone and it is not this stay.

The operation is often postponed if growth is not finished, if the team has asked you to stop smoking, if an infection in the mouth is active, or if a long-term condition makes a general anaesthetic less safe. A bite that does not meet may need a maxillofacial plan first — aesthetic chin work alone is then the wrong paper. Send daylight photographs — front, both sides and from below — without a filter. Suitability, and implant versus bone, is confirmed in Istanbul before anyone operates. Rhinoplasty in the same sitting is not assumed.

Flights to and from Istanbul are extra unless a contract says otherwise. Extra nights you add yourself, a companion’s room, travel insurance, rhinoplasty, a neck lift, jaw surgery that moves the bite, filler in the same sitting, and a later revision sit outside this figure unless they are named there. Chasing a social-media profile in millimetres is refused; that is a clinical limit, not an upsell.

Plan five to seven days in the city. That window covers the in-person assessment, the operation, the first dressings and the strap check, then clearance to fly. The hospital night, if there is one, sits inside those days; it does not replace them. Confirm how many hotel nights are in writing. Leave room for an extra night if the team asks. Seven to ten nights belong to longer body operations, not this chin stay.

Theatre time for a primary implant is usually under two hours under general anaesthetic. Sliding genioplasty, or adding another facial map on the same paper, can take longer. Discharge is signed by the surgeon — it is not an advertising date.

You wake with a strap. Fluids first, then a soft diet so intraoral stitches are not chewed. The first week is swelling, a tight chin and often a numb lower lip that usually eases over weeks. Sleep with your head raised if you were shown that. No gym, no chewing hard food, no pressing on the chin, until the discharge note says so. Desk work is often possible after ten to fourteen days if the surgeon agrees. The contour at the hotel is not the final one; shape commonly settles over two to three months. None of that is a millimetre guarantee.

Red flags after you return — spreading redness, pus, a temperature that persists, a wound that opens, calf pain, breathlessness, or pain that is getting worse — mean a local clinician or A&E first, then your coordinator. Take the discharge note with you.

Can I have chin augmentation and rhinoplasty at the same time?

Yes, rhinoplasty and chin augmentation can often be performed during the same operation when both procedures are appropriate for the patient. The nose and chin both influence the side profile, so assessing them together can help determine whether the concern is mainly nasal shape, chin projection or a combination of both. Chin augmentation may involve an implant or a sliding genioplasty, and these are not interchangeable procedures. The surgeon should also assess the bite and jaw relationship, because a significant jaw-position problem may require a different maxillofacial plan rather than a cosmetic chin implant alone. Complex revision rhinoplasty, major bony chin surgery or other health and anaesthetic considerations may make staged surgery preferable.

For the chin, why an implant rather than a bony genioplasty, or the other way round?

ASPS describes two main routes. For a chin that sits back, an implant is placed on the bone through an incision inside the mouth or under the chin. A chin that projects too far can be reduced by burring the bone. The chin bone itself can be moved forward and fixed with plates. If the bite would be changed, the answer may be jaw surgery rather than a chin-tip implant. An implant is usually a shorter operation and can be removed. Infection, shifting and an implant that can be felt are the problems that route has to discuss in writing. A bony movement leaves plates and screws, and the nerve and bone healing are separate risks. The choice should be written from projection, height, width, asymmetry and the bite, not from a profile photograph alone. Source: ASPS chin surgery.

If vision changes, the eye will not close, the face becomes weak, or a haematoma develops after I go home, what happens and who pays?

The symptoms that need review without delay depend on the operation. After a face, neck, brow or temple lift: rapidly growing swelling on one side, pain, breathlessness or new facial weakness. After eyelid surgery: a lid that will not close, severe pain, an eye being pushed forward, or reduced vision. After facial fat injection: sudden loss of vision. ASPS lists blindness among eyelid-surgery risks, while describing it as very rare. A significant haematoma is treated by evacuation, as described above. Fat in a vessel needs emergency eye assessment. The NHS asks people to settle in writing, before cosmetic surgery abroad, where reviews happen, what further surgery and a return journey cost, and whether the clinic’s insurance covers the patient. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. Follow-up after an operation in the UK is the surgeon’s responsibility. A clinic abroad may not offer the same follow-up or a doctor in your own country. The NHS uses 7–10 days after facial cosmetic surgery as a planning window before flying, because of clot risk. Your own surgeon gives the personal clearance. This page does not say that any partner pays for admission, revision or the return flight. What can I eat after chin surgery?

Follow the diet given by your surgical team. The page advises soft food and gentle chewing during early recovery; if an implant is placed through the mouth, ASPS says a liquid diet or special mouth rinses may be recommended. The plan can differ between an intraoral implant and bone surgery, so ask what texture is suitable, how long to follow it and how to clean the mouth. Do not force chewing through pain.
