Hair transplant + blepharoplasty (upper) package — Just Clinic Istanbul

In September 2026, the cost of Hair Transplant + Blepharoplasty (Upper) in Turkey is 4,000 – 8,700 EUR for the combined hair-transplant and upper blepharoplasty scope shown on this page. The written quote should confirm graft planning, the upper-eyelid surgery plan, hospital and anaesthetic arrangements, first checks, medication. Suitability and safe sequencing should be determined by the clinicians before treatment.

Each month, Just Clinic Istanbul collects current prices / costs for scalp hair transplant and upper-eyelid blepharoplasty from 30 hospitals randomly selected from our partner network, listed on our Hospitals page. We compare equivalent treatment plans and publish the lowest and highest reported prices as a minimum–maximum range. They are a neutral, objective reference, not the price of a single hospital or clinic and not a personal offer from Just Clinic Istanbul.

This stay pairs two different sittings in one Istanbul trip: follicular units taken from the scalp donor and placed into a thinning hairline, mid-scalp or crown, and an upper-lid blepharoplasty that trims extra skin in the crease so the lid no longer sits on the lashes. Extraction is FUE with a small punch. The eyelids in this quote are the uppers only — not bags on the lower lid, not four lids, not a fox-eye or canthopexy plan. It is not a ladies hair sitting, not filler in either site, and not a packed hairline plus a new eye shape from a photograph.

The written offer from your treating hospital or clinic should confirm the scope for this combined package: the FUE map and the upper-lid sitting named after assessment. Who extracts, who implants and who operates on the lids belongs on the paper, not in a slogan. The two sittings are sequenced on that paper; they are not assumed to share one theatre list.

Surgeons usually consider adult men with patterned scalp loss and a usable donor, who are also bothered by hooded upper lids, who are well enough for local anaesthetic on both sittings, and who accept that a long FUE day and a lid sitting are not squeezed into one lunch hour. If the donor is modest, the hair plan may stay conservative so the bank is not emptied in the same week as eyelid stitches. Dry eye, glaucoma, thyroid eye disease, or previous lid or laser work must be said before anyone books a flight.

The date is often postponed if a racing hair loss will outrun one sitting, if active scalp disease is present, if blood-thinners cannot be paused as your own clinician agrees, or if the team has asked you to stop smoking. Send daylight photographs — scalp front, top, sides and the donor at the back, plus eyes open, eyes closed, looking ahead, without heavy liner. Suitability is confirmed in Istanbul before anyone operates. Beard, eyebrow, PRP or lower-lid work in the same stay is not assumed.

Over-harvesting the donor to chase a packed hairline in the same week as over-removing lid skin until the eye will not close is refused; that is a clinical limit, not an upsell.

Plan four to six nights in the city. That window covers the in-person assessment, the two sittings as sequenced on the paper, the first hair wash, lid swelling and suture checks — stitches often come out around days five to seven — and clearance to fly. Two or three nights belong to a hair-only outpatient stay, not this pair. Three nights is tight once lids are on the same trip. Leave room for an extra night if the team asks.

The hair session is under local anaesthetic, with or without sedation, and is usually four to eight hours. Upper-lid blepharoplasty is usually forty-five minutes to two hours under local anaesthetic. A general anaesthetic is not assumed. The written plan names the order of days so a long FUE list does not sit on the same afternoon as fresh eyelid stitches. Discharge is signed by the team — it is not an advertising date.

The first weeks are dual care: scalp rules (no gym sweat, no tight hat, no scratching) and lid rules (no rubbing, cool compresses, head elevated, sunglasses outside, contact lenses out until the team clears them). Sleep as you were shown so grafts are not crushed and the lids are not pressed into a pillow. Shock loss in weeks two to four is expected on the scalp; transplanted hairs often shed before they grow. New hair is often seen around month three or four; density builds between six and twelve months. Bruising on the lids often peaks at forty-eight to seventy-two hours; the hotel-day look is not the final crease. Desk work is often one to two weeks if the surgeon agrees. None of that is a density or eye-shape guarantee.

Red flags after you return — spreading redness on scalp or lids, pus, a temperature that persists, sudden vision change, a lid that will not close, pain that is getting worse, or breathlessness — mean a local clinician, an eye doctor or A&E first, then your coordinator. Take the discharge note with you.

These notes answer questions people raise before they accept a written treatment plan. They describe what that plan should make clear. How much donor hair can safely be taken, and what reserve should remain?

The permanent donor zone is the hair at the back and sides that resists pattern loss. Capacity is not a follicle count per square centimetre on its own. Hair calibre, curl, the contrast between hair and scalp, and how much of that zone may later be exposed all belong in the written plan. Taking more than that zone can thin the donor area and make the small round FUE marks easier to see. A high graft slogan does not measure the reserve that is left. Why is FUE, an implanter pen, or another approach being proposed?

ISHRS treats taking tissue from the donor area and making the recipient sites as separate surgical steps. FUE describes removing grafts one by one from the back or sides. DHI, or a Choi implanter, describes how a prepared graft is placed. It is not a second operation that replaces FUE. The written plan should name the harvest instrument and the placement instrument separately. Source: ISHRS position statement on physician practice.

Who will diagnose, design, harvest, make the sites, place the grafts and follow up?

The ISHRS board statement revised on 13 July 2024 says that diagnosis, planning, donor harvesting, hairline design, recipient-site creation, management of medical problems and aftercare are to be done by a licensed physician trained in hair restoration. In some countries a physician assistant or nurse practitioner may work within the limits of that licence and under that physician’s supervision. ISHRS regards a surgical step performed by an unlicensed person as unethical. Graft placement is not a separate bullet in that list, so the written plan still has to name who places the grafts. Ongoing loss of your own hair does not cancel the transplant, and longer-term medical follow-up should be written down as well. Source: ISHRS position statement on physician practice.

Before eyelid surgery, how will dry eye and full eyelid closure be checked?

AAO EyeWiki asks that, before lower-eyelid surgery, dry-eye symptoms, eye drops, contact lenses, the tear film, blinking, Bell’s phenomenon, lower-lid laxity, any existing failure to close, and how far the eye sits forward of the cheek are recorded. Uncontrolled dry eye is a reason to defer surgery. An ASPS practice parameter notes that a Schirmer test may be needed when there is a dry-eye history. ASPS teaching material says blepharoplasty may be contraindicated when Bell’s phenomenon is absent, dry eye is severe, or the lid does not close. Lower-lid laxity with a failed snap-back test and distraction of more than 6 mm raises ectropion risk, and a canthopexy or canthoplasty may need to be added. Taking too much skin or orbicularis can stop the lid closing and worsen dry eye. ASPS lists incomplete closure, dry eye, ectropion, lid retraction, temporary or lasting vision change, and very rare blindness among eyelid-surgery risks. If vision changes, the eye will not close, the face becomes weak, or a haematoma develops after I go home, what happens and who pays?

The symptoms that need review without delay depend on the operation. After a face, neck, brow or temple lift: rapidly growing swelling on one side, pain, breathlessness or new facial weakness. After eyelid surgery: a lid that will not close, severe pain, an eye being pushed forward, or reduced vision. After facial fat injection: sudden loss of vision. ASPS lists blindness among eyelid-surgery risks, while describing it as very rare. A significant haematoma is treated by evacuation, as described above. Fat in a vessel needs emergency eye assessment. The NHS asks people to settle in writing, before cosmetic surgery abroad, where reviews happen, what further surgery and a return journey cost, and whether the clinic’s insurance covers the patient. Travel insurance usually does not cover surgical complications. Follow-up after an operation in the UK is the surgeon’s responsibility. A clinic abroad may not offer the same follow-up or a doctor in your own country. The NHS uses 7–10 days after facial cosmetic surgery as a planning window before flying, because of clot risk. Your own surgeon gives the personal clearance. This page does not say that any partner pays for admission, revision or the return flight. Can blepharoplasty fix drooping eyelids that affect my vision?

It may help when excess upper-eyelid skin is the cause of obstruction, but a low eyelid margin (ptosis) or a low brow is a different problem and may need a different or additional plan. An eye and eyelid examination helps distinguish these causes and check vision, eyelid function and eye health. Ask the surgeon to explain what is causing the droop and whether the proposed operation treats that specific cause. AAO EyeWiki describes assessment of eyelid skin, brow position and concurrent ptosis.

Will eyelid surgery change the shape of my eyes?

Standard eyelid surgery is planned to address concerns such as excess eyelid skin or lower-lid bags; it should not be presented as a promise to create a particular eye shape. The aim and likely changes depend on which lids are treated and your anatomy, and early swelling can make the appearance misleading. Ask the surgeon to describe the intended change and its limits before agreeing to the plan. The American Academy of Ophthalmology describes blepharoplasty as removing excess eyelid skin to improve appearance and vision.

When can I wear contact lenses after blepharoplasty?

Follow the operating team's instructions on when to resume contact lenses. Recovery advice varies: for example, one NHS ophthalmology leaflet says contact lenses can typically be worn after two to three weeks once swelling has subsided. Your own timing may differ depending on healing and eye comfort, so bring glasses and ask for the instruction in your written aftercare plan. Imperial College Healthcare NHS guidance gives a typical interval while noting the role of recovery.

Can my existing hair shed temporarily after a transplant?

Yes. ISHRS describes temporary “shock loss” (telogen effluvium) in which existing, non-transplanted hairs may shed after a hair transplant; it can make the area look thinner for a time. This is different from the temporary shedding of transplanted hairs that can happen before later growth begins. ISHRS says the native-hair shedding is typically temporary, but this does not predict what will happen in an individual case. Ask the doctor responsible for your care what shedding to expect and when a change should be reviewed. Read the ISHRS FUE guidance for its description of native-hair shedding after surgery.

The following is an example of wording in a hair-transplant certificate issued by Estethica. The graft-count placeholder is left blank, as it is in the supplied document:

With your consent and acceptance of the operation, your hair transplant operation was performed with ........ grafts and the operation got completed. As long as you fully fulfill all procedures correctly before and after surgery, you will not experience loss of any graft implanted. We guarantee that the number of grafts implanted are accurate and that the implanted hair will grow in a healthy way.

This quotation reproduces Estethica’s document wording and its statement is conditional on following the procedures before and after surgery. It is the issuer’s wording, not a guarantee by Just Clinic Istanbul or an unnamed clinic. It does not show that this certificate is included with, or applies to, any package discussed on this page. The supplied certificate does not state lifetime cover, a refund or free repeat surgery.
